Public Forum – Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement and Health
The CHETRE team and colleagues have been carrying out an HIA of the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA). If enacted, the TPPA will potentially result in a range of significant health impacts. In particular, provisions in the TPPA may impact the ability of Government to enforce existing policies and implement new policies that support public health. The HIA is focusing on potential impacts related to pharmaceutical drugs, food, alcohol and tobacco. We are expecting complete the HIA over the coming few months.
On the 7th of August we are bringing together experts and stakeholders to hold a public forum. Please see the invitation below and let us know if you would like to join us. Places are limited.
